Hello all,
It's been a couple of months since the last update. I have been back in Mexico City for about a month after working for a few in Michigan. I had a wonderful time while I was in Michigan. I spent a lot of time with my family attending football games and Areli came for a quick visit. I finally got to show her the place where I had been working during the previous year. We also spent time with my family. There are new pictures from her visit on the website.
The new missionarydoc.com is complete! This has been a large project of mine over the past month. It should prove helpful--especially when we go off to Guatemala. I plan to have more frequent updates, video updates, lots of pictures, and overall more stuff for those who would like more detail on what we are doing. For those who keep a loose tag on us, I plan to still send a summary email like this one every couple of months or so. So check out the new site and expect some changes over the next several weeks. For those who use newsfeeds, you can subscribe to the updates and other pages. For those who use facebook.com, I will put links to new updates there as well. Also, Areli will be posting updates and other stuff on her site, babypuma.com. Most things will be in Spanish. So for those of you who read or understand any Spanish or just want to watch videos of me speaking Spanish, check it out!
Otherwise, Areli has been busy finishing her final semester. We've also been busy with church activities including playing and singing with the worship team. The church now has a projector so making PowerPoint slides for the songs has been another project of mine. Also, I have redone the church website, iglesiamasai.com.
As far as future plans, it looks like our start date in Guatemala will likely be January 12th, 2009. We hope to make a trip to the U.S. during December to visit my family but this is a bit uncertain due to Areli's graduation process.
That's it for now. God has been good to us and continues to make our paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Sherwood and Areli
