Areli, Rebekah, and Zabdi have been training for a 5k. This will be the first 5k for Rebekah and Zabdi. Elizabeth has been running too, but she’s not quite ready for a 5k. On Thanksgiving Day, they will run the Gaylord Turkey Trot.

 

The Gaylord Turkey Trot looks to be the most low-key race of all time--no bibs or official time, no shirt, and no pressure. Just show up at the starting line at 9 a.m., run 3.1 miles to the finish line, and pick up a medal on the way out.

 

The girls had the idea to use a run to support Abigail’s mission work in Guatemala. If you would like to donate to Abigail in honor of the girls’ running efforts, I will post a link after the race…if they get it done.

 

In the spirit of the Gaylord Turkey Trot, this is a low-key, no-pressure ask. But we thought it would be encouraging to the girls and a blessing to Abigail.
