Areli and I traveled to Michigan for a couple of weeks. It was fast and furious, but we had a wonderful time. I worked during the week and we visited family and friends during the weekends. It was good to celebrate the 4th in St. Ignace with almost all of my family. I'll try to get some pictures up soon.

 

When we arrived back in Guatemala, we were met by our new medical student Anthony and his wife Carrie. Check out their blog, Carrie and Anthony Petruso's Guatemala Adventure. It is good to have have a fresh perspective on things, as you will read.

 

Saturday, the first of back-to-back teams will arrive. They will primarily doing gynecological and plastic surgery (no it's not what you think--mostly cleft lips and palates). Thanks to various people who have given their time, talents, and money, things look really good around here. The team should enjoy it.
