Several months ago, I felt like God was giving us the theme "New Beginnings" for 2011. This happens to be the name of the sister ministry of Agape in Action. But it seems like just the fit for what we expect in 2011.
Before we left for vacation in December, we started two new clinics: Chuaxan II and Xatinap II. We are happy with them so far. This coming week we will start two more new clinics.
Other new beginnings include a four-day dental clinic that was held at the Agape dorm last week and a cleft lip and palate team that is coming this weekend.
On the horizon, Dr. Street and his wife, the founders of the ministry here in Quiché will be returning later this year to continue their work.
Also, Areli and I feel that (unless God says something different), our time in Guatemala will come to and end at the end of the year. At this point, we have no idea what the next step for us is, but we trust God will reveal this to us during the year.
New things can be good and cause growth. However, they are usually a lot of work. We have experienced this already this year. We hope 2011 will be a very productive year in many ways. Please pray for us that we would seek God's direction in all that we do.
