Hello all,

A lot has happened since my last update on the Cinco de Mayo.  So I don’t end up writing a book, I will briefly describe them by date:

June 6:   Areli arrived in the US which brought an end to our long distance dating relationship.
June 20:  We attend the Big Ticket Festival—a large Christian concert in Gaylord, Michigan.
June 29:  Residency Graduation!!!
July 7:   Small wedding and legal marriage in St. Ignace, Michigan!!!!
July 14:  Spontaneous Trip to Cedar Point with the Fam.
July 16:  Family Practice Board Exam in Chicago.
July 17:  Flight to Mexico City to prepare for the Mexico Wedding.
July 21:  Wedding in Mexico City.
July 31:  Off to Cancun, Isla Mujeres, and Cozumel for the honeymoon.
August 24:  Return to Michigan to work while Areli stays in Mexico for school.
September 22:  Areli’s birthday.  This was the first time I made it to her birthday.
October 30:  To Acapulco for the second honeymoon.
September-December:  Back and forth from Mexico City to Kalamazoo, MI for work.

Yes, I am now married!  Today is our 4 month anniversary!

I like marriage!  Due to our currently situation with Areli in school in Mexico City and me working in Michigan, we still have quite a bit of time apart.  But it is much better than before.  I have been on the schedule of working for two weeks and then returning to Mexico for a week.  It is okay for the time being.  Since we have had so much time apart, we made up for some of it by having a quick, second honeymoon to Acapulco.

As far as missions stuff, things have been rather silent…until now!  This Saturday, November 24, I will be assisting with a medical mission trip to a small town outside of Mexico City.  I am exited about this as I have not done much since the trip to the Dominican Republic in September of 2005.  It is likely that this trip with become a recurring opportunity as my church here in Mexico City is collaborating with a church in this area.  God has provided a considerable amount of medicine which was given at cost by the pharmacy of the clinic where I work in Kalamazoo.  Praise God that I did not have any trouble with customs when I arrived with my huge suitcase full of only medicine.  Although they inspected me, they did not give me trouble or charge me taxes.  I will send an update after the trip.

I would be overwhelming to write details of all that God had done for us over the last several months.  The bottom line is that God has been faithful.  He worked everything out perfectly.  He arranged the timing of events to perfection.  He miraculously provided the job in Kalamazoo and has been providing for us financially.  He allowed us to spend wonderful time with both of our families and friends.  Check out the pictures and commentary that I have put on the missionarydoc.com for more details.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Until next time,

Sherwood (Daniel) and Areli
